Cuisine : Food is an intricate part of any gathering. Just as individual as the spices that give flavor to the meal, so it is with the individuals gathered around the meal. we all bring our on flavor to the table. Alone we are good ,very good, but when we/the spices, are blended together with the right balance, motivation and for a cause greater than anyone of us, we can truly begin to recognize and appreciate each person/flavor for who/what they are. They are liken to the many different instruments that make up a symphony, each piece has its own destinct sound , but when they come together at right time with the same intent, what you have is an unforgettable melody. I love a beautifully presented meal, they are works of art. The ones presented with a sincere smile are most beautiful.

Austria Salzburg : Rolling hills of vineyards are in my view. As I stand on the balcony of the Fortress High Salzburg, bathe in the Rembrandt lighting coming from the setting sun. . What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here on this day at this moment.The landmark of Salzburg, is Central Europe’s largest intact fortress and offers fantastic views of the city. Visit the Princely Residence, a magnificent early baroque edifice with splendid halls and a gallery featuring European paintings dating between the 16th and 19th century. The nearby vast Salzburg Dom is without doubt the main attraction of the old town. Inside there is the Romanesque font where Mozart was baptized.

Bad Wimpfen-Gundelshiem : The USO tour "Champagnertruffel a la Chef" was a great experience,and one the best I've been on thus far, every stop revealed hidden treasures. Starting with our very confident tour escort Leslie, to the center of the beautiful and charming city of Bad Wimpfen, where we had opportunity to have lunch at various restaurants located in the heart of the city. I chose to dine at Lia Thai Restaurant, I was not disappointed, steamed,vegetables,chicken, and cashews fused and marinated in Thai spices,on a bed of perfectly cooked long grain white rice and paired with a sweet red wine, it was an amazing meal. After lunch we met up with our very excited tour guide Mrs. Donate Riedle, it was a pleasure to have her guide the tour, her enthusiasm for her city, Gundelsheim, was contagious, and we were not disappointed with sites, sounds and tastes that followed. Next, the convivial river cruise on the idyllic Neckar-River, where we passed romantic castles and vineyards, led to the center of Gundelsheim, where sweestest part of this tour was found, at Cafe' Schell & Chocolate Manufactory, where wine meets chocolate. In this comfortable atmosphere we enjoyed delicious wine-chocolates degustation, the inventor Mr. Eberhart Schell. We tasted noble pralines and best wine, like the creation "Essigschleckerle" (Vinegar Pralines). The first patented praline made with the finest vinegar from Auslese wine and hulled in exquisite chocolate. I did not want to leave Cafe' Schell, to say the least. Back to Bad Wimpfen to visit the tradtional 1045. Talmarkt. As one of the oldest festivals in Germany, the Talmarkt in Bad Wimpfen will be celebrated for the 1043th time this year. The Talmarkt offers non-stop fun with a broad selection of rides, raffle stands, amusements, games of skill,various children rides, festival beer, Bratwurste, candy floss, almonds and everything which one would expect to find at a family festival.

FolkFest 2007 : The International Folkfest is a celebration of the multicultural population of Fayetteville, NC. Created to celebrate the cultural diversity of the city. Now in its 30th year, it has become a 3 day event. These are photos of last years event, where Panama was the Host country. Look forward to seeing at this years Intl' Folkfest. (26-28 Sept).
